Interior Electrician

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Works on electrical systems, parallel alternating AC and DC circuitry, transformers, switchgears, suppression circuits, Interior lighting, and more

  2. Troubleshoots, repairs/replaces, adds preventive maintenance, and installs lighting and utility systems, equpiment, motors, automatic doors, fire alarms, etc.

  3. Respond and fixes, if essential, to malfunctioned equpiment and power outages.

  4. Installs wiring, junction boxes, switches, outlets, power connectors, etc.

  5. If necessary, may work with Exterior Electrician and/or Electronic Technicians

Work Qualifications:

  1. Four years of progressive growth in the maintenance and repair of electrical equipment and systems OR a Journeyman Electrical License or higher (Highly preferred).

  2. One year of specialized experience in the installation, testing, diagnosis, maintaincence, and repair of electrical equipment and systems.

  3. Journey-level knowledge of therories, principles, requirements, and standards of electrical work.

  4. Skills involving tools, schematics, blueprints, etc.

  5. Ability to analyze data (blueprints and schematics)

  6. Ability to work safely and follow safety rules, regulations, and procedures

  7. A valid state driver's license

  8. Ability to operate a vehicle airside and landside (requires AOA permit)

  9. Ability to exert 20 - 40 lbs of force and lift objects up to 80 lbs (may work is cramped positions)

  10. May need to operate aerial life truck, scissor lift, or forklift for overhead electrical systems

  11. Available for hold-over and recall on a 24 hour basis for essential services and emergencies

  12. Available for night and weekend shifts
