About Us

Our Story

As a girl, growing up is hard: to quote 'My Life With The Walter Boys', one of my favorite TV shows, "we have to be twice as good for half the opportunity". High school can be a particularly challenging time: lots of change, tremendous pressure, and harsh societal norms, to name just a few. For a young girl, the consequences of facing such a testing time can bleed into her adulthood, making life harder when she grows up. Personally, I have struggled with staying afloat in a world where it seems they want you to drown; however, I found relief and comfort when I met my best friends. They helped me through some of my most difficult times and truly became a home to me! Alas, they are two years older than me, which meant they graduated my sophomore year, and I was left to sit with the fact that I would have to go through the two hardest years of high school without the strength their support brought me. Of course, I would still see them and call VERY often, but it wasn't the same. So, I created Rowan's Circle; in part for you and in part for me. I wanted to still be able to have a solid support system around me as I went into junior and senior year, and I wanted to create that for other women in our community. Here at Rowan's Circle, we know just how important it is to have a support system to carry you through difficult times. However, not everyone is lucky enough to come across such a system; thus, Rowan's Circle is a safe house for women to come together and find peace in a world catered towards men. Even if just one life is saved, even if just one smile is made, even if just one day is changed for the better, I will be proud to have made a difference. At Rowan's Circle, we see and understand your struggles, so take a deep breath and let the regrets of yesterday and the worries of tomorrow fade away.

A message from the founder:

Our Mission

Inspired by and named after the founder's cousin, Rowan's Circle was created to provide shelter and a safe healing place for women in and around our community. Rowan's Circle serves as a women's prefect peaceful paradise; a place where they can catch their breath during the marathon that is life. We want to provide a stable support system for women - a home they can depend on, with people they can lean on, where their minds can rest, and their bodies can rejuvenate. We also aim to educate the women in our community about the importance of women's mental health. This is a place for women, built by women. It is your space to heal.
